Filtration slides with specially developed membranes are used to gather particles from the filtered air. Each slide has one, two or three membranes to collect the respirable particle fraction. The appropriate number of membranes is determined by how “clean” a facility is. Each slide has a barcode so it can be traced to a certain user, and the slides can be archived to provide an additional record of compliance.
The nanoporous filtration membrane inside the Stat Peel filtration slide allows the collection of aerosol particles down to the nanometer range.

The Stat Peel filtration slide was designed to operate together with the air sampling badge to comply with the particle size fractions defined in ISO 7708. The nanoporous filtration membranes retain particles on a gold-coated, inert surface for inspection later by the Stat Peel Identifier Raman system.
Filtration slides with different internal flow channels separate the collected particles into size bins for a size dependent inspection. The small, flat, and gold-coated filtration membrane is also an ideal substrate to inspect collected particles by SEM. The slides are available in boxes of 90 pieces for insertion into the Identifier System or in smaller boxes of 20 pieces for use with the sampling kit.
